Quacker Christmas Sweaters Bring Smiles

A few years ago Jeanne had a special value sweater that had fiber optics in it. I bought the black one with the Christmas tree on it because I knew my mother-in-law,who lived with us at the time, would be fascinated by it when I wore it. Sometime last year all those sweaters went on clearance and since I now had grandchildren I bought the green reindeers and the blue snowman. As some of you know my husband is in a singing group and they sing a lot of benefit concerts. One of their biggest…

Hi Gail, good of you to say hello, inside the Quacker Community see the Main Page tab, along one side you will see Discussion's, about three are shown, that is where you will find different topic's already started and that is where you can begin any discussion you are interested in. Takes awhile to get it figured out, I don't know it all either so you are in very good company. It's was quiet over the weekend as I keep checking in, maybe it's the heat so everyone is busy dragging hoses around watering. Something? One discussion is about QVC''s Christmas in July, one on what's up for the summer, join in someone will come along...See you, Debbie

Hi Gail,
I too am the CEO of my own domain and there's always something needing an excutive decision or simple manual labor. Hope this finds you with a moment to stop and look back at all you've done, I remind myself to do this often. I've got digging to do today, found the cutest dwarf Sunflower's over the weekend, so cheery!
Have a great summer!

Hi Gail,
Thank you so much for your mail, Im so pleased to hear from you again, Im sorry to hear about your dog Abbys back problems, but she sounds a lovely dog, so you have 3 dogs altogether, wow, they must take some looking after, we have our hands full with Charlie, hes just like a child, today we managed to get him out for a walk, weve not taken him out since Saturday as its been too hot for him to go out in the heat, hes all black and if he goes out for walks in the hot weather it gives him bad diahrea and sickness, so I tend to keep him in when its very hot, but as it cooled down a bit today we took him out, we go up to the firs, which is about a 5 min walk from here, there is a big grassed area and fir trees that keep the area cool, we met up with a woman with a labradoodle dog, lovely dog it was, just 8 months old and it was bigger than charlie, it was a cross between a labrador and a poodle hence the name labradoodle.

Im not sure of the time difference between you and I , I know its 6 hour difference between us and new york, I will have to find out, we are about a 40 minuite train journey into London from here.

I live with my partner Stewart, I have been marrried before for 20yrs, but it was a very abusive marriage and after putting up with it for 20 yrs I just left one day and I divorced my husband about 12yrs ago, but I paid a heavy price for it, he turned my 3 children against me, and 2 of them have a child each and I didnt know that they excisted untill about a year ago, but recently my son has come back into my life, he has a little girl called Amber who is one year old now, he came to visit me at the end of may and brought Amber to see me, and hes phoned me about twice a weeek since, he lives in Derbyshire, which is about a 4 hrs train journey from here, Ive got 2 girls and a boy, Ive always sent them birthday cards etc, just hope the girls will follow hes examble and get back in touch with me

I do not work due to ill health, Ive got kidney problems, astma and I recently found out that Ive got arthritis in my back, which is very painfull, Ive been having physiotherapy and was due to go to the pain management clinic last friday but the health authority will not fund my appointment there, so my dr is appealing against the dessision, in the meantime Im not coping with the pain and to make matters worse last Friday I fell in the garden flat on my back.

My partner Stewart works at the world duty free shop at stansted airport hes a whiskey specialist, he is a lovely guy, we got engaged about 3 yrs ago now, anyway you take good care of yourself

Hi Gail,
Thank you so much for your mail, its very much appriciated, I hope you are all ok there, sounds like you have been realy busy, where did you go for the July 4th holidays then?, we dont celebrat July 4th here, although on our qvc channel on tv here on July 4th they had an all american products day, I did see some of the things they had on that day, yankee candles is one of my favourite american items, I just love them, in fact this week, I bought one of the plug ins that they do, I got the lavender one, its smells divine, I also got the pack of 2 refills for it too, I didnt get them from qvc site, I got them from a local store that sells all sorts of things, I usually buy my yankee candles from an on line candle shop or if Im lucky when we go shopping in Harlow there is a store there that sells them, but they dont always have a lot in that store.

Ive been to physiotherapy again, but Im not going anymore, the woman there seemed to give me the impression that she didnt believe me that I have been unable to do the exercises due to my back hurting from that fall, she goes well you can come back on the 26th july if you would like to, if not phone and cancel, I was only in there 10 minuites, hardly seems worth going when I have to travel 40 minuites each way to get there by bus then 40 minuites to get home, half a day gone by the time ive left the house and got back home again, ive just been taking pain killers and getting on with things here, we go away next sunday the 18th for a week, to the Isle of man, looking farward to getting away from here and all the stress Ive been under too, we had to take Charlie to the vets Tuesday, hes got another big lump near hes back leg, the vet lanced it and said if it comes back best get it removed by an operation, she also said hes got a slight heart murmer, but said its nothing to worry about, its been realy hot here, have not been able to get charlie out for a walk, too hot for him, anyway take care, god bless

Hi Gail...thanks for the good wishes. It is marvelous to be home again. One forgets the entire definition of wilderness until one gets there, the sun is intense at 6000 feet, the sky is so blue though, stunning, it's a grand experience to go and I did just fine, happy feet throughout! We came home a day early because Bell's feet were so sore, and she was so tired of being a watch dog all night long. If she could talk, there would be an entire new story to tell about her first night in the woods. And we were done with coating ourselves with Repellant to the point of it feeling overwhelming. I am out of character's again, too wordy, see you Inside a discussion! ;o)

Gail,

The weekend turned out okay. I did manage to do the boating on Friday night and Saturday. I just took alot of tylenol and drank alcohol! We managed to miss the rain somehow, but it was hot, hot, hot, got a little sun burn, nothing too drastic. Most of the weekend was of course cooking and cleaning, and then home to about 10 loads of laundry. I guess the fun never stops!!

The next camping trip is the Blueberry Festival in Northern IN. That one we camp for 4 days over the Labor Day Weekend. But that one has two days of flea marketing and a day at the Lake ( Michigan Lake) so that one is a beach type day.

Talk later, Deb
