It's Spring! The Earth is Renewing Itself-Time To Plant To Grow and To Change...

Spring seems to have sprung in many parts of the country whether we wanted it to or not so I think it's time for a new discussion page. Yesterday was the first official day of spring I believe; even though most times in northern Illinois when the calandar says it's spring it still feels like winter. This year is quite different as we have been having summer like weather, and it will be interesting for us to track the weather patterns across our various parts of the country as the spring and summer progresses. Come join in everyone and share your spring thoughts and ideas.

Hi Ladies,

Just needed to ask for some help finding a dress for a wedding in May. If you see anything on the Q that is wedding apropriate please let me know I would appreciate it.  I was looking at dresses on the qsite but they put swim dresses in with the regular dresses so it may take a long time to get thru them all.

Hope everyone is doing okay and getting ready for Easter.  Debra I know what you mean about taking care of a big dog. When you take them for a walk sometimes they can walk you.  Have fun with your vistor.

Will talk more after Easter. Having a good time with my mom as long as she stays upright.

     Colleen

Sorry Ladies that did not sound right after I looked at it. She fell on Monday so that is what I meant as long as she stays upright.

  Colleen

Colleen,

I knew exactly what you meant when you said about staying upright. Will keep an eye out for a good dress on the Q.

Deb,

The dining room paint sounds so pretty. Too bad you will probably have to cover it up.

We do have crazy weather. I know Greg dreams of living someplace where he can play golf all year round when he retires. However,he also knows that he would have to drag me kicking and screaming away from the grandkids and the kids-so there might be a big fight on his hands in a couple of years.

Rottweillers are big dogs. They are like ponies. The woman that grooms our dogs has one and he's always in the shop. It's funny to see him and our little 8 pound Belle together. I'll bet Wench likes staying at your place what with all the walks and the treats. When you said you were dog sitting for some reason I was pictruing a little Shitzu or something. what a surprise to hear it is a giant dog. They also have a HUGE bark! I always know it's coming and I still jump everytime Gage barks when we come through the door at the groomers.

Have a nice Easter. Are you cooking or going somewhere else?

Gail

Gail,

We are going to my Mom's, but I am cooking the ham and baked beans.  We don't usually do much for Easter except a dinner.  My MIL is coming up for the dinner also, so that should make Michael happy.

Hope the Easter Bunny brings you something wonderful!

Talk soon, Deb

Hi Everyone! Quack Quack! How is everyone this fine Quacker Day?

Oooh, Did you see today.... I see and have ordered the new Hydrangea T, A223883...in two colors, just could not decide so I was a little piggy and got the Black and the Yellow. It's one of those design's brought back from the past and those Hydrangia's are quite lovely.

I'm hot and having Pepsi as we finally have a second day of sunshine and I've completed another major task off my list. I wrestled my smallest potted Maple Tree out of his too small pot and into where he's going to live out his life, he's in a big pot now and on wheel's...and man was he heavy, made me grunt yarding him out and took me over and hour to do so with my trusty serrated Bread knife in hand. I'm so done for the day now hoping the little bugger lives through it, he's about 4 feet tall and just going to start leafing out. I think everyones weather this season is much further along than we are due to this last stormy weather over the past weeks.

Anyway, I sure enjoyed the Quacker shows this week and have been buying Yellow...and then I did Gray in the Pedal Pushers and hope I like them.

As I complete my long list of stuff to do I shall be back to chat and catch up, I'm making great leaps towards being caught up for a change, tis the season!

I hope everyone finds some lovely new Quacker creation on tonights show as I do love my Quacker clothing, so cheerful and so different...oh, and I ordered those Seersucker Navy Pedal Pusher's too, they sold out again fast.

Oh, I have so many posts to read to catch up on what everyone's been doing....

Stay upright and be well...

Debbie

Hi,

Oh, I'm so glad to hear you loved the seersucker pedal pusher's, I hope I like them. You have had my same experience in buying from QVC, even with Quacker, no consistency in sizing at all  and that drives me nuts and it seems that Quacker does not think this is happening as I said something at dinner about my having the exact same issue as you, but after it was suggested that was not happening, that no one else was having that issue I let it go...so it's evidently a rare thing and happening to you and I, the return percentage must not be that high or I don't think that's what I would of been told? But I had several pairs of DJeanne's in several sizes and they were all over the place in fit when I was trying to buy a new pair to go back to QVC in. In fact none of the ones I own, three, fit the same, each are different in the legs, one pair is close to two inches or more larger in the thighs than another pair. I've had the waist issue as well, when that muffin top pops up I know they are wrong as my good fitting ones don't cause that dreaded look.

I hate to order mulitples of the same size then glean the one that fits but that is something that I have done before with luck. I have a new top coming in two sizes for that reason.

Brave woman that you are Barbara, I can't get those Capri's on my body without my brain screaming high school...High Water where's the Flood...remember that? My inseam in flats is about 29.5 inches so those 24" inseam Capri's or Crops just cut my legs down to nothing, it's a very bad proportion for me hence my buying the 17" inseam Pedal Pusher's, they fit me long enough to cover my stuff and I don't fear the Flood. I love hearing that you can wear Bright Green, she's had them in other fabric's with that zipper legging I think, they went with that TSV hoodie and Tshirt. I so love my Quacker things. I actually did dress in sequins' for the show, I have the Navy Tunic Hoodie in Sequin's and it felt good to wear it...I wish they made it in Pink. I have a yen for Pink and colors now. I have three yellow things coming! Summer here is ugly hot too, did you see the cute Flutter sleeve top? They had some cute short sleeves, I just ordered an elbow sleeve Heart embroidery shirt, Nautical with crabs in the shape of a heart in Yellow and I can't wait to see if I like that sleeve length, I was snooping at all the inventory this past week and it was well rated.

My Issac cardi was not a winner, button's in the wrong place and gaps open big time, too breezy for my girl's...lol. I know that feather print you speak of, that's cute indeed. Did you see that new lounge wear show that was on late last night...the premier of Bedhead's or something? I liked the looks of the few things they had and will watch again. Quacker lounge wear in that french terry is too hot for summer wear here....and that Caftan was cut so very low with the shell buttons around the neck, I ordered it once but I don't like low cut tops, I have major boobage..lol now maybe that was tooo much information...sheesh.

Those Wardrobers were so cute, if they did them now the cost would be closet to $75 I'd think for four pieces. Some are still in stock but I think it's XXS. I have a pant and jacket set with Safari animals embroidered on it somewhere I need to look for that...that was one of my oldest items purchased.

Did you plant some Viola's? Hope so, their little faces are just so cute. Vicki, Rusty and I traveled to a large commercial Green House in the next city yesterday, OMG a sea of color in Geranium's, Impatien's and Begonia's....so pretty, I'm now on the lookout for hanging baskets coming for Mother's Day at bargain prices. My red wagon is full of plants so I bought only one more pony of Orange Viola's, and a Bee Balm plant that Vicki talked me into that she loves, needless to say she went wild buying perennial's and Rusty bought tomato plants galore. I keep in balance by not buying more than what will fit into my wagon at a time, when I plant them I can then buy more, I need to plant tomorrow, just don't think that's going to happen this afternoon as I'm not ready to find lunch and something good too!

Have a very Happy Easter...and stay cool, we are cool still and I need to enjoy it while it lasts and get my flowers planted and my yard work done before it hits big time.

Debbie, I received a pair of the dark gray capri Dreamjeannes yesterday in my 1 X and even though I had gotten the exact same capri in pink 1 X two weeks ago; my grey ones were just too tight around the middle and rear for me. I put my pink ones back on to make sure they really were the same size and it was; so had to return the grey. I did love the color; kind of a muted gray; but would have loved it with yellow; pink; turquoise. The pink are a real soft pink, and I am looking for a capri in green; the brighter the better. It gets so HOT here that I have to look for things that won't make me sweat before I can even get out the door. I so wish I could find more short sleeved Quacker tops since the 3/4 sleeve is too hot for me here in warm weather. I pulled out a pair of Quacker denim crop pants with summer things embroideried around the bottom from the closet that I got last summer; and they are loose but I am wearing them anyway. They are about 5 inches from my ankle; but comfy and go with everything. I know you said something about Issac dresses. Well, I have two of them; and absolutely love them. One is in what they call a feather print in oranges and such; and the other is like a comfy tee that has a little tie that you adjust to your comfort. I'll look up the numbers on the Q. They are the kind of dress you just pull over your head, and they are so soft. I really like them. I wash them on cold and then hang them up to dry and haven't had any problems. They are perfect when it is sweltering here. And I ordered two of Stan Hermans gowns. He is cute as a button to me. And his gowns are so soft. I don't like to run around in front of the boys without something decent on; and it is just too hot here for a long robe at times; and his gowns are not see through. Did I tell you I ordered the seersucker capri from Quacker? Thanks for the info. I love them. They just spell summer to me. I have e-mailed Quacker and asked them to do more seersucker. Debra said she asked about it too. I loved the 4-piece summer outfit Jeanne made years ago that you could mix up all the pieces and make different outfits. Does anyone remember that? I have put out the hummingbird feeders. Our doves are still here. I love looking out the bedroom window and seeing them sitting in the hickory nut tree. They make their little "cooing" sounds and call to one another. It is such a peaceful sound. Well, I'm off the visit Lowe's and look for some violas. You have me in the "plant something" mood. Take care Barbara

Hi Girl's and  a hearty Quack Quack to everyone!

I've been busy doing my regrowth for spring. My hunker down and be home, finish domestic Godess project's and avoiding the major rains we have had of late. It's full on spring weather here which sort of resembles Winter!

Found the cutest Orange and Yellow Viola's I've never had before so I had to have a boatload to try in different places, I have about 5 more pony packs to plant, they look so cute at the base of Tulip's.

I guess Quacker buyer has heard me a'whining for weeks as I got that email about New Quacker Thing's! Yahoo, it's about time...that vest is cute but what color? And what am I going to wear with it? For me a vest is more a cold weather item so I have to hatch my mental plan on what to wear it with. What did everyone think? I see DJeannes in new Gray color too....a dark gray which I'd like next Fall in long straight leg DJeanne's....what did everyone think? Oooh Pink vest over a black long sleeve t with Gray DJeannes for next Fall...hmmmmmm...so much for a girl to ponder with the summer heat coming soon.

I hope this finds everyone enjoying their day whatever the weather brings....we are to have rain again soon so it's a lazy day for me, that barometer makes me move slower and slower for some odd reason. Maybe my brain knows yard work is coming soon...Scott mowed yards yesterday. Did you know Oregon stays green year round? Our grass does not go dormant brown here, I guess it's not cold enough? I never gave that any thought until I visited PA in February. Scott's cooking bacon, eggs and potato's right now and the smell is going to drive me to the shower, and I can ony imagine what thoughts Bell has while asleep in her bed. Is there anything like the smell of bacon on the morning air? My Oatmeal did not smell anywhere near as good! Sheesh, don't get me started!

I'm waiting for good weather to drag out my carpet cleaner, and that needs to happen soon! I so want to have clean floors soon and some sunshine would be perfect for that.

Be well and Stay upright! The Garden Party Starts on Thursday....what will you be wearing? I"m dressing up! Wearing my Quackerlicious best and feeling girly girl complete with SNACK's....I think Ice Cream is in order....oooohhhh maybe a Root Beer Float! In Jeanne's honor of course...tis a sacrifice I must make. Bacon and Ice Cream....hmmmmm...the smell is getting to me so I must dash...they make Bacon on Maple Bars in Portland and I understand that's a taste sensation. Hug's, Debbie

Debbie

Sorry, Pedal Pusher length only...but I bet the new Dreamjeannes coming for summer in that June show our Angel keeps talking about will have a new range of colors. I bet we might see long pants in gray for this fall...that would be nice. I'll let you know how my dimples like the color of my Pedal pushers! May be a nightmare! My chubby bits do love black! I shall let you know when I see the gray appear for sure as time goes on.

How's the paint search going? The guest room all done now? Way to go Debbie! I need to buy more Bark Mulch! That's my home improvement until I can make some sound desicion.

So, did you go to Chicago!!!!! Sounds like fun, fun fun...do tell...I was there once for King Tut at the Field's Museum....a once in a lifetime trip I loved. Hope you've had a relaxing fun week doing whatever...and Happy Easter my friend....don't cook too much and put  your feet up when you can! Hugs, Debbie

What sleeve lengh and color are you wanting for that dress for that wedding? So many Maxi dresses have been shown lately, I'll keep an eye out for a well reviewed winner as I have seen some Colleen. I am so sorry to hear your Mom bit the dust...that had to scare both of you! I hate falling down as you know so I'm so glad to hear she wasn't injured. Your Easter celebration sounds so lovely...the kids shall have a ball...and love that air conditoning story. My nightmare is still making hell on wheel flash lights...how many can one man own? I lost my wallet somewhere inside the house this week...so here he comes with his gadget so I could "high beam" under our bed...just in case that wallet found it's way under there! But thankfully I only found a dryer sheet and sock fuzz under there and not one bug could be found...his brain fried upon my High Beaming his bug behind for sure turning him to dust.

You won't believe where I found my wallet after it being lost for over a day...I was beyond surprised and ever so lucky this time. I ordered a Handbag off QVC....and had it in my office checking it out to decide if it was a keeper, and I had my wallet in here to pay my dental bill with and guess I decided at some point to see how well my wallet fit in that new purse and I slid it in a pocket and then forgot about it!!! Needless to say, I was not going to keep the purse, and I had thoughts of packing my returns up twice but put it off...and it's a good thing I did or I would of shipped that back to QVC with my wallet inside...what a nightmare that would of been. I am so lucky! Scott say's it would of loved living in Venzuela with some identity theft ring and I'd of spent my entire life wondering how my wallet had disappeared out of my house. Crazy, completely crazy that I didn't send it off...I came so close before going to town with Vicki but I wanted to spray Roundup on my weeds yesterday morning as we had sunshine...those sprouts saved my behind...good thing I am so dog on a bone when I get something in my head. Doing all that paperwork to replace everything could of given me that pesky eye tick I'm going to avoid in this lifetime...Inspector Cluseau, Pink Panther movies really hit home with me growing up!

Colleen...I still can't thank you enough for telling me that Big Lot's carried Nutrisystem...I've bought tons of my favorite foods for little money thanks to you...so I can buy more Quacker thanks to you....so Thank you once again my friend. I'm maintaning and NS is the reason still.

I hear my boys are back from Dirt Biking over hill and dale, Bell wants out to eat ice cubes with Jim, those boys are tired and a cold beer is in order next...then the stories begin in the garage and I make scarce as soon enough that High Beam Flashlight is out and in use just for the fun of it. What's up with men and lighting up everything that moves??

Can't wait for the next air conditoner installment...how is that going?

Be well and stay upright...

Debbie

Hey Gailster...how are you feeling? Are you better? Did a huge dose of Quacker shows make your day's feel nicer? I hope so as they did for me.

We need to talk before Greg retires as I have new found peril's and pitfalls I never gave thought to before...and a girl has to be prepared for retirement!

PS, not to make any correction...but I think the dog's name is Wrench not Wench...that gave me a chuckle for that big old dog, a name change....but hey I"m the hall monitor for today, the self appointed hall monitor and where's your Pass young woman? Remember those day's?

So, did you spring for a new Butterfly shirt this week? I see them on air and think of you, did you hear Angel talk about our Nancy Cassel this week? Nancy likes that neck design to go all the way around and has made a name for herself....she's got a cute short bob hair cut and that's her favortie design's. It was nice to see Patrick in action, he's going to be good in the UK.

I hope you are feeling much better, I'm still hungry and headed to find some food...have a Happy Easter...

Debbie,

When we were on the cruise we voted on some type of dream jeanne, I don't remember crop or pedal pushers, but we voted on the embelishment to be put down at the hem instead of only the heart which is normally hidden by our shirt and color.    I think that is right, and Nancy and Sue can correct me if I am wrong.

We did not do Chicago.  Instead we did the Cincinnati Art Museum and also went to a conservatory that was just up the road from the art museum.    They had Monet and Piccaso on display.  I was disappointed in the Monet, it was all lilly pads and trees and from what I remembered of Monet his paintings were women in long dresses with umbrellas and stuff like that.

Painting is done in the living room.  We may still have to paint the dinning room, if we cannot patch the wall to make it look right. I did find the old paint, but it does not sound like it is in good shape in that can.   It has been in the garage for years and years!  We may have to do a little patch and paint to get us through the May 5th party and then I will have to paint that room over the summer.   I was so hoping to be done done done and now here we are painting again!!~ Crap!

Your guest room is done and ready for ya!   I posted a few pictures like last week or maybe the week before.  Did you miss that?

No relaxing for me, we are still doggie sitting and I have been on the move!  Tomorrow cooking, dog walking and dinner at my Mom's.

Hope the Easter Bunny is good to you!   Talk later, Deb
